You have found the one and only option for an electric water pump conversion for the Mazda BP 1.8!
This bracket will bolt in place of the factory water pump. It includes a 1 1/4" (32mm) Billet hose barb to connect to an electric water pump. This part is solid billet! No welds to leak. Fully CNC Machined.
Exit port on backside tapers out to better distribute flow around the block to further improve cooling and reduce pumping losses.
The bracket is made from 6061 T6 CNC Billet Aluminum.
Provisions include for the timing belt idler pulley and tensioner pulley.
Before purchasing, please note the following:
1. This part isnotcompatible with the factory plastic timing belt covers.
2. This part does allow the timing belt to be tensioned using the factory tensioner, however this has to be done manually (as should be done on a race motor) as provisions for the weak factory Mazda spring are not supported.
